Eligibility
Adults with a valid Evergreen Indiana library card with no outstanding fees above $10 can borrow LoT materials. Due to the nature of the items contained in the LoT, these items will not be shared via delivery with the other libraries in the Evergreen Indiana Consortium.
Borrow
Only adult cards may borrow items from the Library of Things, and the borrower must review rules with each checkout and sign a SPL Library of Things Loan Agreement. Any exception to this procedure must be approved by the Executive Director of the library.
All library patrons are required to check out and return Library of Things items to a staff member at a SPL circulation desk. Take the blue available Library of Things card for the item you want to check out to the circulation desk.
The SPL is not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage that may occur from the use of a Library of Things item. The responsibility to protect against loss is the borrower’s.

Return
Library of Things items must be returned to a SPL circulation desk. They cannot be returned in the outside dropbox. LoT item checkout privilege may be suspended or a fee assessed for each violation of this rule.
Lost Items
Please take care when handling items borrowed from SPL. The borrower assumes responsibility for the item(s) and will be billed for reasonable repair or replacement costs associated with damage or loss of items and/or peripherals due to neglect or abuse. A list of replacement costs is maintained by the library and is available upon request.
