Syracuse Public Library Needs Your Support

Hello Friends,
Many of you know that the Syracuse Public Library has been undertaking a building project. In January, the Kosciusko County Council had approved the additional appropriation of bonds. With that approval, the Syracuse Public Library has been working with architects on further developing the building project, spending money toward the project.

In May, we were made aware that because of an advertising error on the Gateway website, our additional appropriation of bonds may require a rehearing by the County Council members. This rehearing was tabled in May.
If the council votes against the additional appropriation of the bond, there will be an impact on the library. At this time, we do not know what the full impact will be.
The hearing is now on the Kosciusko County Council’s June 11 agenda. We really need the Syracuse and Turkey Creek Township community’s support. Below are some ways you can help.

Kosciusko County Council meets the second Thursday (June 11) of each month at 6 p.m. in the Old Courtroom on the third floor of the Kosciusko County Courthouse. Your presence and your voice are powerful.
