Whether you’re a current resident, a new addition to Syracuse, IN, or just returning to the lake for the summer, the Syracuse-Turkey Creek Township Public Library is a wonderful community resource for all of your information needs.

SPL is a fine-free, Evergreen Indiana Library, connecting residents of the town of Syracuse and Turkey Creek Township with thousands of materials through the Evergreen network.

Join SPL for our Summer Reading Kickoff Party Friday, June 2! Sign-up for summer reading will be from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. We will have a special ribbon-cutting ceremony for Community Roots outdoor space at 11 a.m. A Foamzilla Foam Party follows at 1 p.m.

Syracuse Public Library and the North Webster Community Public Library are partnering for a new adult book club (18-30ish) hosted at local coffee shops. June's book is "Slammed" by Colleen Hoover, with discussion at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 10, at The River Coffeehouse.

As part of the Teen Summer Reading Program, teens can sign up to make watercolor bookmarks with local artist Emily Austin from 2-3 p.m. Tuesday, June 6.

Tweens (other ages welcome, too) can attend Make-It Mondays at 2 p.m. each Monday, starting June 5.

Residents of the town of Syracuse and Turkey Creek Township can receive a free library card. In addition to resident cards, nonresident cards are available for purchase.

To learn more about SPL's card policies and procedures, click here. 

Fine Free

Syracuse Public Library is a fine-free library for all materials, excluding hotspots. If items exceed 28 days past their due date, they will be marked as lost. That fine will be removed from an account if the items in question are returned in good condition.  Materials borrowed from other libraries may accrue fines. For more about our policies, visit this link.

The Power Of Libraries

Evergreen Indiana is a growing consortium of over 125 public, school and institutional libraries located throughout Indiana that use the Evergreen ILS. This resource sharing initiative provides cost savings for the library and access to almost 8 million items for over 1 million Indiana residents.
