Kim Blaha

Executive Director
Executive Director Kim Blaha pilots the library ship. She sets the course and keeps an eye on the horizon, manages the ship’s resources, and keeps the crew from going overboard.

Assistant Director
Katie catalogs and helps choose adult new materials. She's the go-to person for help with all technology problems at the library (patrons and library workers, alike).

Adult Services Librarian
 Becky is a lifelong learning specialist for adults. Please share any program ideas with her that you would be interested in attending, and she will try to make them happen.

Circulation Manager/YA Department Head
Shelly manages the circulation desk, and works with the teens, planning programs and the teen summer reading. She also does craft and DIY programs for all ages.

Children Services Librarian
Megan manages the Children's Department. She plans children's programs, conducts storytime, and prepares for summer reading!

Communications Specialist
Sarah manages the library's social media accounts, newsletters, and website; she also serves as a media point of contact and distributes news releases.

Our Staff

The staff members of the Syracuse Public Library are here to assist patrons:
  • Emilia: She works in the children's department, where she helps with children's programming and puts together the take-and-make crafts.
  • Gisela: After retiring, she continues to work two days in the tech department.
  • Jo: She works part-time as a circulation clerk, where she enjoys assisting patrons.
  • Kathy: ​She keeps the library in pristine condition as its cleaning lady, enjoying working around books.
  • Megan W.: She is a page in the children's department, who enjoys looking at new children materials.
  • Michelle: Assists at the upstairs circulation desk.
  • Rebekah: Working in the children's department, she assists with children's programming, including the homeschool program and summer reading.​
  • Rhonda: ​After starting as a page, she now does interlibrary loans/SRCS for SPL. She is also our DVD guru.
  • Robert: He assists in managing the circulation desk and enjoys meeting patrons.
  • Sharon: She serves as a part-time circulation clerk, assisting upstairs and downstairs as needed.

Sunday: Closed
