Library Card Policy
Borrowing privileges are extended to all residents and property owners of the taxing area and to students of the Wawasee Community School Corporation. If you are a non-resident, you may purchase a card for $68.50 for a year or $23 for 4 months.
You must present your Evergreen Indiana card at the desk in order to borrow library materials. Cards are non-transferable and cannot be used by anyone other that the card holder.
The maximum number of items that can be simultaneously checked out on your Evergreen card are as follows:
If you are planning to check out materials at libraries other than the Syracuse Public Library, please be aware that the above list is the maximum number of items per card, not per library
Overdue Fines & Fees
All items incur a 25 cent fine for each day they are not returned after the due date. This does not include the days that the library is closed.
There is a one day grace period for items being returned.

Items may be renewed over the phone, in person, or on the library website.
When the library is closed, items may be returned in the book and media dropboxes on Harrison Street outside the library.
Items which have holds are not renewable.
