Spring Break Fun!Not heading to Florida? Make SPL your spring break destination for fun! We’ll have regular programs like STEM Club and Pokemon, but we’re adding in some special activities.
Syracuse Public Library will welcome a special guest: Leah Steinhiser from PBS Michiana! Leah will visit the library’s downstairs meeting room from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, with a weather-themed program to match PBS KIDS’s new “Weather Hunters” show. “Weather Hunters” is a new animated series for kids K-2nd grade created by America’s beloved host and weathercaster, Al Roker. Each episode is a 22-minute story featuring 8-year-old weather wiz Lily Hunter and her family. The Hunter family explores and reports on all kinds of weather, everything from familiar rain, snow, and fog to more extreme weather, like hurricanes. Then sign up for Family Yoga with Megan Gough! This relaxing program is open to all ages and will occur from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, in the downstairs meeting room. The library has limited space, so register at https://tinyurl.com/splfamilyyoga26. Finally, children can decorate sugar cookies using icing and sprinkles from 4-5 p.m. Thursday, April 9, in the downstairs meeting room while supplies last! |
