You don't have to travel far for spring break fun this year. All weeklong, the Syracuse Public Library will offer a host of programs for children and young adults. Here is the rundown of what to expect the week of April 3-6 (the library will close Friday, April 7, for Good Friday)!

Children

Children, get ready! The children's department staff has come up with some fun plans for you! Here is what to expect:
  • A Walk in the Park: 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 3. Meet at Benton Dam-River Preserve County Park, 68552 Co Rd 31, New Paris, IN. This program is weather permitting.
  • Lego Day: Get ready to build the Lego creations of your dreams as Tuesday, April 4, is Lego Day in the children's department. Swing by all day (12-8 p.m.) to build with Legos.
  • Game Day: From 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, come play new games and old favorites! Maybe meet a new friend, too!
  • Play-Doh Creation Day: Tubs of Play-Doh will be out all day Thursday, April 6, for children to mold!

Young Adults

Meanwhile,  young adults (grades 6-12) have their own programs during the week:
  • Anime Movie: Come watch an anime movie on Crunchyroll from 2-4 p.m. Monday, April 3, in the Rosalyn Jones Room/YA space. We will have popcorn!
  • Roblox: Bring your own device or use one of our computers to play Roblox with others from 2-4 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, in the Rosalyn Jones Room.
  • Tree Painting: Come paint a super easy, but beautiful tree (see below)! This program will be from 2-3 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, in the Rosalyn Jones Room.
  • YA Video Gaming: Play on the library's Nintendo Switch or public computers from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, April 6, in the Rosalyn Jones Room.
