Those going to Florida shouldn't have all the fun on spring break! That's why the Syracuse Public Library is hosting a week of fun programs and activities for children and their families to enjoy.
Monday: Game Day
On April 4, the children’s department’s games will be set up and ready to play with during library hours from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Drop in whenever you like to play several games, including Otrio, Chinese checkers, Cadoo, Yatzee, Candyland, Trivia Pursuit, Jenga, Gobblers, and so much more!
Tuesday: Lego Day
April 5 is all about Legos! Children can build with the Legos during library hours from noon to 8 p.m. But the day doesn't stop there! From 2-3 p.m., stop by to build with Lego Jell-O. Then swing back to watch “The Lego Batman Movie” at 6 p.m.
Wednesday: "Where's Waldo" Day
“Where’s Waldo” Day is April 6. There will be a scavenger hunt and activity sheets to complete.
Thursday: Play Dough/Clay Creations Day
Then drop in from noon to 8 p.m. April 7 to create play dough and clay creations.
Friday: Sweetwater Tour
The week culminates with a tour of Sweetwater in Fort Wayne. Everyone will meet at 2 p.m. Friday, April 8, at Sweetwater, 5501 US 30 West; plan to arrive about 10 minutes early. During the tour, children will learn about Sweetwater's history, see its behind-the-scenes recording studios, go down the giant slide, and more.
